Pakistan Egypt Blue Economy Cooperation
Pakistan and Egypt are setting the stage for a new era of economic collaboration through their shared focus on the Pakistan Egypt Blue Economy. In a recent meeting held in Islamabad, the Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, and Egypt’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Ihab Mohamed Abdelhamid Hassan, discussed expanding cooperation in maritime trade, logistics, and industrial development.
Both nations aim to unlock the vast potential of the Pakistan Egypt Blue Economy by strengthening port infrastructure, improving shipping routes, and enhancing regional connectivity. Pakistan expressed its commitment to developing integrated transport systems — combining road, rail, and sea — that connect South Asia with Africa and Central Asia.
Egypt, drawing on its experience with the Suez Canal and industrial free zones, offered to share its expertise in logistics and maritime management. The ambassador also appreciated Pakistan’s growing export potential in sectors like leather goods, pharmaceuticals, spices, wooden crafts, and rice.
The Pakistans and Egypt Blue Economy initiative goes beyond bilateral trade; it focuses on sustainable growth, environmental stewardship, and regional economic integration. By combining their strategic locations and maritime strengths, both countries aim to create a mutually beneficial framework that supports industrial investment, trade facilitation, and job creation.
Ultimately, this cooperation is poised to transform the Pakistan Egypt Blue Economy into a key driver of prosperity and long-term regional stability.
